Week Eleven: Finding Creativity Everywhere

Another week in the books — and getting back from the Rupununi trip has left me riding a bit of a high. It’s such a great feeling to carry with you, even if the overnight bus ride back was… well, less exciting. But we made it back safely, got everything sorted, and just flipping through my photos afterward made me feel that same buzz all over again.

I even saw this clip of Ryan Coogler looking at prints from his new movie Sinners — and the way he was just wowed by seeing it all come together? Yeah, I felt that too. Sometimes when I look at my photos, it just instantly brings me back to the feeling when you were there — the light, the colours, the energy. It’s magical.

And honestly, it made me think: for my next trip, I want to be even more intentional about how I photograph nature. I picked up a few lessons on lighting, colour, and composition that I think will help, not just in capturing memories but in actually telling the story through photos. Always learning!

The Workfront — Powering Ahead

Back on the work side, this week has been a mix of powering through projects and getting deeper into learning.
One of the cool things I’ve been exploring is the personalization side of AI through our Power Platform tools. You always hear about prompt engineering — writing good prompts to get better results — but I’ve been learning about building systems where the prompt-building happens on the backend. So users can just have natural conversations with an agent, without having to know anything about “how the sausage is made.”

There’s so much power there. And honestly, I’m just scratching the surface.
It’s funny too — tech evolves so fast. Some of the training videos we’re using were made only a month or two ago, and already, little pieces have shifted. So it’s a real reminder that flexibility and curiosity are key when you’re working with new tools.

We’ve also been making real progress on our broader strategies — getting projects closer to finalization, moving documents forward, getting feedback, refining. It feels like we’re finally in that steady momentum phase where, even if each step is small, you can feel the overall machine moving.

It’s a great feeling, and it’s nice to start seeing some impact, whether it’s through sharing marketing best practices with teams or just getting systems in place that make everyone’s lives a little easier.

The Good, The Challenge, and What’s Next

🤠 The Good: Seeing some printed materials come to life!
We’ve been finalizing a few things — like office branding and new business cards — and I can’t wait for them to arrive. There’s something about seeing your work in physical form that just feels so satisfying.

😱 The Challenge: Balancing time. There’s a lot happening right now, and while I want to stay full-throttle on work, I also came here intending to keep a good work-life balance. So I’ve been making sure to carve out time for walks in the gardens, catching up with colleagues, watching a show, or just taking a quiet hour for myself. It’s not always easy, but it’s important.

😎 What’s Next: I’ll travel to the U.S. for a bit — heading for a family wedding. I’m excited to shift gears slightly, soak up some family time, and see how to keep a little storytelling and marketing inspiration going even from a different environment.

Catch you all next week ✌️
